I know the difference between a garden that looks good in a photo and one that genuinely works for the people who live in it, and I’ve spent the last decade making sure every client gets the latter. With over 25 years in landscaping and construction, I lead every project from initial design through to final build, staying as your single point of contact throughout.”

Patios Built for British Weather
A new patio is one of the most common projects we take on, on its own or as part of a full garden. Many are built over two or three levels, with steps and retaining walls where the ground changes height and a path leading on to the next part of the garden.
We lay porcelain, Indian stone, sandstone, slate, granite and limestone. Each has a different porosity, so each needs the right bedding and adhesive, and every patio is finished with clean edges, whether that is a retaining wall, a raised bed or a simple border of block paving. A Complete Garden Makeover in Wyken, Coventry
For a returning customer in Wyken, we replaced the old fencing, decking, pond and patio, built a retaining wall, levelled the garden and laid new Rolawn Medallion turf. The new garden brings together Kandla Grey porcelain paving, charcoal pencil-edged borders, black ice decorative stone, reclaimed sleeper planters, anthracite composite decking and high-quality Grange Esprit fencing.

A contemporary, low-maintenance garden with a hint of the Mediterranean: modern porcelain, composite decking, shaded seating areas, decorative gravels and drought-tolerant plants such as blue fescue and the Torbay palm.
What is Andy’s favourite kind of garden?
A quintessential English courtyard: Yorkstone paving for the main seating area, reclaimed brick planters full of pollinator-friendly plants, winding clay paver paths past a water feature, and a quiet corner where you can actually sit and enjoy it all.
Which trees and plants do you recommend for a new garden?
For privacy hedges, the classic English yew, or blackthorn with its sloes. A crab apple gives early blossom for pollinators and fruit for jelly. Magnolias, acers and Japanese cherry blossom remain popular, with silver birch and rowan in larger gardens. In planters, hardy perennials such as hydrangeas and geraniums mixed with seasonal bedding give colour straight away.
Are there any trees you would avoid?
Some fir trees are better suited to woodland than to a domestic garden, because they can pose a serious risk to a property if uprooted in a severe gale.
Do you take on smaller jobs, or only full garden makeovers?
Both. If you simply need a new fence, patio or area of artificial grass, we are happy to do just that, and to talk through any bigger plans you have for the garden in future.

Andy and Steph enjoy the design side and seeing it all come together. Ian loves the patio and paving work, and Darren makes and installs the wooden garden structures and fencing.

Yes. At Stoneleigh Park near Kenilworth we transformed the grounds for the British Beekeepers’ Association, with a wildlife pond, timber structures and barriers so visitors can enjoy the hives safely, and new planting throughout.
Do you offer garden maintenance?
Aftercare is available for gardens we have designed and built, from hard-surface cleaning to seasonal care. We do not take on general garden maintenance for other gardens.
